Salvation is an Invitation| Jasmine

“Four years ago I made the best decision I’ve ever made in my life. I received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Christianity is not just something to believe in or a reason to warm a seat on Sunday morning. It’s about a man who walked blameless and pure. That man died a prisoners death and rose three days later so that you may have eternal life. I have a future and hope because I chose him.Today when you think of Jesus remember that he has chosen you, so that you may have a future and have something to believe in other than yourself.” 2012 Jasmine

This Facebook memory popped up on my Timehop on Facebook last week.

7 years later, I am still amazed at the life God has given me over these last eleven years of walking with Him. But more importantly I am enamored by His pursuit of me and His desire to be known and know me personally.

This Sunday, we will celebrate the death and resurrection of Christ that has given us an abundant new life, but more importantly it tore the veil and allows us to have true intimacy with our Heavenly Father!

“At that moment the veil in the Holy of Holies was torn in two from the top to the bottom. The earth shook violently, rocks were split apart.” Matthew 27:51

I think as Christians it’s so important that we don’t just look at our salvation as a ticket out of hell or just a reason to go to a building once a week. But I hope we as a people remember that salvation is a beautiful invitation to know God and invite others into that same journey.

So this Easter, when you’re putting on your Sunday’s best let’s truly remember the whole picture of Jesus’ death and resurrection.

Intimacy.

Jesus doesn’t just want you to live for Him, but He longs for you to live WITH Him.

Happy Easter Everyone!
