“…I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:10 (NIV)
Imagine thinking your life was about to end, only to realize you’d never truly lived. That’s what happens to Georgia in Last Holiday—a wake-up call that pushes her to embrace a life she never thought possible. With only weeks to live, she cashes out her savings, checks off her bucket list, and finally starts living without fear. But here’s the twist: she wasn’t dying after all. The real transformation wasn’t in what she did, but in how she learned to live fully, right where she was.
It’s a great question for all of us: How often do we wait for a wake-up call before we start truly living? Too often, we settle for just surviving, letting fear or busyness hold us back, and miss out on the fullness God has for us. But Jesus didn’t come so we could scrape by—He came to give us abundant life. In John 10:10, He says, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
The full life Jesus offers isn’t about cashing in your savings for a European vacation or skydiving off cliffs (though those things can be amazing!). It’s about living with purpose, joy, and freedom in Him. It’s about stepping out of the mundane and saying yes to the life God created you for—a life where you trust Him with your plans, embrace His peace, and find joy in both the big moments and the quiet, ordinary ones.
For me, fullness means letting go of fear. It means pausing to enjoy the little things, like laughter with loved ones or a breathtaking sunset, and it means trusting God when He leads me into the unknown. Fullness isn’t about doing more; it’s about being present and saying yes to what matters most.
Don’t wait for a wake-up call to start living fully. Jesus is offering you a life overflowing with His love, purpose, and joy—a life richer and fuller than you could ever imagine. Step into the adventure He’s prepared for you, one bold step of faith at a time.
Reflective Question:
What’s one step you can take today to move from simply surviving to thriving in the life Jesus offers?
