‘Hope’ is a word that has come up in conversation lately, especially in the office. The truth is even though God uses me and my co-workers to share God’s hope with the world, I dont always feel hopeful, especially right now.
The past couple of years have been a whirlwind full of chaos. Just when I feel like I’m getting a grip on life. Another wind comes in and knocks away that traction. Hurricane Ida has brought so much devastation to our cities, homes, and maybe even to your heart.
Maybe you are having a hard time feeling hopeful today. I want you to feel all the feelings and lament, but I also want you to stand on truth. The truth is we find our hope and our home in Jesus. The Bible tells us that Jesus is an anchor for our souls and our hope.
Hebrews 6:19 AMP says it this way “This hope [this confident assurance] we have as an anchor of the soul [it cannot slip and it cannot break down under whatever pressure bears upon it] –a safe and steadfast hope that enters within the veil [of the heavenly temple, that most Holy Place in which the very presence of God dwells],”
The hope that we have in Jesus is steady and can be trusted. Will you join us this week in sharing this hope with Southeast Louisiana?
We canceled our Fall Share-a-thon to focus on helping you hold on to hope as we recover from Hurricane Ida. The financial impact of this cancellation is significant for this ministry. But you can help with your financial gift.
Join LifeSongs this Thursday and Friday for Sharing Hope. You don’t have to wait, you can give right now, RIGHT HERE!
