The past 18+ months have been hard for most of us. For many, it has been a time of pressing on despite feeling depleted of strength to go on.
As a believer I know that my true hope comes from Jesus, but sometimes I just want to feel lighter and not feel the heaviness of life’s circumstances. And for the past two weeks, I have felt just that. I have felt lighter and more joyous than the past 18+ months. It actually has shocked me to be honest. My natural inclination is to brace myself for what may be lying around the corner. But if I do that, I know I won’t be able to enjoy today. The beauty of today, the gift of life today.
If you are struggling today, I want to encourage you to hold on. God is along with you on this marathon that we call life, and trust that there is a lightness and joy that you will experience again.
Life is full of hills and valleys and this has been a long low valley for most, but who God is is still true. We can trust Him, put our hope in Him, and thank Him for who He is despite our life’s circumstances.
I want to encourage you today to find the joy and lightness of this day with no fear of tomorrow.
“Weeping may last for a night, but joy comes with the morning.” Psalms 30:5
