It’s BEE WEEK! (Thank you, TiVo, for the reminder.) This week is the 87th Scripps Howard National Spelling Bee, where brilliant children from across the country gather in Washington D.C. to prove that yes, they are smarter than you. Basically, it’s my favorite time of the year.
The finals air this Thursday night on ESPN. Which, of course, I will be watching. But if you’re more of a “highlight reel” viewer, check out these top 10 spelling bee freakouts “moments”. (Rebecca Sealfon and Harry Altman are vying the title of my all-time favorite contestants. How about y-o-u?)
