I love what I do so much. As the Underwriting Director for LifeSongs I get to meet so many amazing people, like business owners, pastors, worship leaders and all the awesome listeners. Recently Doerr Furniture joined the LifeSongs family with their support. I was able to meet David Mutter and let me tell you his love for this city and all the people here is just a breath of fresh air!
David Mutter (of Doerr Furniture) reminded me of the Love Jesus had for everyone. Jesus stopped and ate with the sick, the bad, the good – it didn’t matter – He loved on them and showed them that there is a light and HE was it. David has that same love and passion for this city. I was able to go meet him at the location in New Orleans and see the sales floor. What amazed me was how he interacted with his staff; knowing them by name, genuinely asking them how they were. And you could tell he had compassion for each employee.
Then he said, “let’s go chat”. I was waiting for us to go into a nice big office with massive amazing furniture, but no that is not what we did. We went and sat on the sales floor. Right in one of the recliners that is there and ready for sale. I was blown away that he did not separate himself from the staff. It was a great meeting, we laughed and talked business and now Doerr Furniture is a part of the LifeSongs family.
You know, I imagine Heaven a lot like that. I imagine GOD just walking around engaging with everyone and talking to us and loving us beyond our wildest imagination. I believe when we get there GOD is going to have a throne right in the middle of all of us so we can go chat with him whenever we want!
Why?
Because GOD is GOOD all the TIME!
