This year I have the honor of celebrating 10 years of being a Christian. That may not seem like a long time to most, but that’s actually more than ⅓ of my life.
At fifteen, I dreamed of the day I could say I had been walking a number of years with Jesus. Not to brag, but simply to bring glory to Him in how He has kept me.
I wish I could tell you that these last 10 years were years only full of high moments, but you and me both know that’s not really how life works. It is because of the valleys that we are able to be truly grateful for the mountain tops.
During these 10 years, so much in my life has changed. But, when I think about that hot summer night at a youth camp when Jesus changed my life forever I can’t help but stand in awe of the Miracle Worker himself.
Since then God has continued to do miracles in and around my life. I am a true miracle. Before Jesus I was once a lost, broken, and a hurting young girl. But with Jesus I am a bold and courageous woman doing things I could never have imagined doing had he not rescued my heart.
Just “Like the fire in the night
Like the ocean parted wide
Like the grave, empty inside
You will see He still does
Miracles, miracles, miracles, miracles”
What miracles has God done in your life? What miracles are you believing him for today? Maybe it’s healing for a loved one. Or salvation for someone. Today, trust me when I say God is still the God of miracles. And while you’re at it listen to Hawk Nelson’s, He Still Does (Miracles).
