Just got woken up by rain while sleeping in woods. No shelter. When I checked temp last it was 33 degrees. Had to leave place I was sleeping on floor because the people living there were drinking and into huge fight, then was blamed for causing it to some extent. I had been trying to be as good an example of a Christian influence as a houseless Christian can be, but seemingly to no avail. Still, there is no shelter space currently available to me and most of my belongings are soaked. I want to intervene to save their marriage, but I am physically and spiritually exhausted. I am afraid for my life. I have been homeless around seven years or so. I have no family. No one except these folks who kicked me out has helped me other than the occasional handout in years. Please pray God either take me home to Heaven painlessly now or provide me with the support I am so desperately lacking.

Please pray for healing, guidance and protection. A year ago I filed for divorce from my abusive unfaithful husband. This past year has had taken its toll on my kids and this single moms health and finances. Recently, I found out I will need major back surgery and will be out of work for weeks. I just recently started working at a great company, however I am not eligible for vacation time. Adding to the stress, the same week of my surgery is when we are scheduled to appear in court to finalize divorce, which means I will be losing insurance.

My sweet fur-baby, KC, is a 9 year Collie mix who is just the biggest sweetheart and loves to be around people. I've only had her for 3 years, and as a rescue, she had a rough life for the first 5 years of her life. This past week, we learned she has bilateral adrenal tumors that are too extensive to be surgically removed. We were told she has weeks (not months) to live. Though they think she may be a candidate for palliative radiation therapy, we don't get to see the LSU Vet Oncology team until the beginning of January. In addition, she's had hind leg weakness and bladder incontinence from spinal compression. It may sound silly for some to pray for a dog, but she is such an amazing animal who God blessed me with over these past few years. She doesn't deserve all of this.
I ask that you please pray that her health be restored and that God guide me in making the best decisions for her. I'm praying that whatever time she may have left with us, that she be as comfortable as possible and fully loved and appreciated.

Denise is a listener from Hammond who is wrestling with a lot of troubles. Her home is very damaged from Ida. There is a large tree branch on her roof. Multiple holes, no power and rats have invaded the space. She is sleeping in a shed in the back yard while her 3 dogs stay in her car. She has a court date on Thursday for a traffic violation. Her mother's funeral is Friday. She had a bad relationship with her mom, who she blames for turning her father, brother and son against her. She was cut out of the will. She is an art student (or was at one point) and feels like SELU is trying to push her away. Everything feels like a battle in her life right now. Pray for wisdom and God's providence.
