“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine…” Ephesians 3:20 (NIV)

Do you remember being a kid and imagining the wildest possibilities? Maybe you dreamed of becoming an astronaut or a famous rock star. I, for one, was convinced I could fly if I just flapped my arms hard enough. Kids don’t put limits on what’s possible. They dream big!

Somewhere along the way, though, life happens. We grow up, face disappointments, and start shrinking our expectations. Instead of imagining the impossible, we settle for what feels safe and realistic. But Ephesians 3:20 invites us to remember who God is. He’s the One “who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine.”

Let that sink in for a moment. The God who created the universe, who knows every detail of your life, is not bound by our limited perspective. Where we see obstacles, He sees possibilities. Where we see dead ends, He sees new beginnings.

I’ve seen this truth play out in my own life. There have been times when I prayed for something small, something I thought was reasonable, and God responded with something far greater than I could have dreamed. It’s not that He gave me everything I wanted; it’s that He gave me what I didn’t even know I needed.

God’s ability to do “immeasurably more” isn’t just about the big miracles. It’s about His constant presence and provision in the everyday moments of our lives. When we bring Him our prayers, our dreams, and even our doubts, He works in ways that go beyond what we could ever imagine. Stop shrinking your dreams to fit what you think is possible. Bring them to God and trust Him to do immeasurably more than you can ask, think, or imagine.

Reflective Question:

What’s one area of your life where you’ve been hesitant to dream big? How can you trust God to do immeasurably more than you can imagine?
