Those may be the words to one of my favorite Cain songs, but it is also the words I think of describing how I feel about you, our listeners.
I’ve had the privilege of working at LifeSongs now for about six years. And I can say without hesitation we have the best listeners in the world. Whether our community is battling the aftermath of a storm or a global pandemic our listeners know how to band together and get the job done.
You all truly exemplify 1 Corinthians 12:22-27 (NLT). It says,
“In fact, some parts of the body that seem weakest and least important are actually the most necessary. And the parts we regard as less honorable are those we clothe with the greatest care. So we carefully protect those parts that should not be seen, while the more honorable parts do not require this special care. So God has put the body together such that extra honor and care are given to those parts that have less dignity. This makes for harmony among the members, so that all the members care for each other. If one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it, and if one part is honored, all the parts are glad. All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it.
You may not be a DJ on the radio, but you do your part in this ministry. Whether by being a LifeSongs Team Spirit Member, LifeSongs Crew Member, Day Sponsor, or simply by listening each day you are a part of the big picture that this season is all about! Sharing the gospel and loving people where they are, whether in their cars or homes they get to hear the Good news that “God Is Good All The Time”!
On behalf of the LifeSongs Team, I want to say thank you and Happy Thanksgiving!
