No matter what age or walk of life, we are all searching for meaning and purpose. That’s part of the inspiration for Jeremy Camp’s song, “Getting Started.” He says, “God truly does have a plan and purpose for each and every one of us, whether you are just starting off in life or getting to the end of it. We can get distracted, lose our way, or feel unseen and unnoticed, walk in shame, or any other thing to hold us back from all that Jesus has for us. And for those that know Christ and have struggled and maybe felt like God can’t use you or He doesn’t see you or you are too far gone, The Bible says His mercies are new EVERY morning, great is your faithfulness! He welcomes you and tells you he loves you over and over again. I’m so grateful for that. So don’t ever feel like you’re a lost cause, you have a God who passionately loves you and wants to breathe new life in you no matter what age you are, I believe you’re only getting started!”
Do you find it hard to disagree on certain things, and still love and be kind to others? Unspoken’s lead vocalist Chad Mattson says that (especially lately) there is a “polarization of beliefs, yet Jesus reveals to us in John chapter 13 that it’s love that identifies us with being his kids.” Their song “Love Is Everything We Need” is one of encouragement for believers, to find ways to love each other even when we don’t see eye to eye on everything. Our love is one of the biggest testimonies we have.
